Establishing International Recognition, Four UAD Lecturers Disseminate Their Research Findings in a Joint Short Course with OCEM Nepal
Yogyakarta, February 25th, 2025 – Four lecturers from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) started to establish international recognition by disseminating their research findings in a joint short course held alongside the visit of a delegation from Oxford College of Engineering and Management (OCEM), Pokhara University, Nepal. The four lecturers are Dr. Dewi Pramudi Ismi (Informatics Department), Dr. Fauziyah Nur Jamal (Management Department), Rintan Nurul Ainy (Accounting Department), and Agus Salim (Development Economics Department). Additionally, the OCEM delegate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Basanta Prasad Adhikari, presented a theoretical study on the impact of digital transformation on sustainable business.
Held at Amphitheater A, Faculty of Medicine, UAD Campus 4, the event welcomed 25 OCEM delegation members led by Prof. Dr. Er Hari Prasad Bhandari (Principal of OCEM). They were greeted by UAD leadership, including Prof. Ir. Sunardi, Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs), Ulaya Ahdiani (Head of Office of Partnership and International Affairs), Prof. Ir. Anton Yudhana, Ph.D. (Head of Research and Community Service Institute), Muhammad Nur Syuhada (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology), Dr. Syamsu Hidayat (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Public Health), Dr. Dini Yuniarti (Dean of teh Faculty of Economics and Business), Dr. Utaminingsih Linarti (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering), and Afit Istiandaru (Head of International Partnership Division).
UAD Signed a Memorandum of Understanding
Besides hosting the joint short course, UAD and OCEM signed a memorandum of understanding in the fields of education, research, and community service, which will serve as the foundation for their collaboration over the next five years.
Following the MoU signing session, an interactive discussion took place, where participants exchanged insights and experiences on innovations in engineering and management. The atmosphere became more dynamic with various questions and fresh ideas exchanged between the two institutions. The OCEM delegation also proposed a two-year pathway for initial implementation of the collaboration, covering student exchanges, faculty exchanges, and research collaborations.
To conclude the visit, the OCEM delegation had the opportunity to visit the Muhammadiyah Museum, gaining valuable insights into the history and contributions of Muhammadiyah in education and social development in Indonesia.
