Muhammadiyah Higher Education Strengthen Cooperation With South of Korean University
30-31st May 2016, delegations of Muhammadiyah Higher Education visited two universities in South of Korea. In the first day, delegations were kindly welcomed by Yongsan University head and faculty members.
In this chance, delegations started new cooperation by signing MOU. Some of possible cooperation those were agreed in this MOU are Joint Degree Program for Undergraduate and Post Graduate program of several Departments, like Management Department, Communication and Accounting Department, Design Science Department, and Engineering Science Department. Since, Youngsan University has much larger number of Indonesian students among Korean University, this university also provided several facilities for Indonesian student such as kitchen and halal food. It proves that a great future ahead is waiting for Indonesian students in this university.
In the second day, located at Kyundong University South of Korea. Delegations of Muhammadiyah Higher Education (PTM) were warmly welcomed by Prof. John Lee (President of Kyundong University) and staff. They visited Kyundong University as one of the step to realize cooperation between Kyundong University with some of PTM in almost all of part of Indonesia.
Few months ago, Prof. John Lee and staff visited Indonesia and signed MOU with some of Muhammadiyah Higher Education. This visit aims to realize some points of the previous meeting such as
- Student exchange with scholarship scheme 70 % for 2 + 2 and 3 + 1 program (The amount of scholarship will be increased/decreased based on the students’ GPA, please kindly ask International office for more details).
2. Free Korean course for 3 months
3. Sending Lecturer (Ph.D holder and able to speak and write in English) for 1-2 semester(s) in Accounting, Finance and Big Data/Data Analyst. The facilities include accommodation, return ticket and salary
All of the agreement above apply to students and faculty members of Muhammadiyah Higher Education that have MOU with Kyundong University. Both parties agreed to take real actions as soon as possible.
