UAD Sent 8 Students from Faculty of Teacher Training and Education for Internship in Thailand and Philippines
UAD sent 8 students from Faculty of Teacher Training and Education for internship to Thailand and Philippines under the SEA-Teacher program. This was the second time UAD sent its students for internship abroad for one month. In the batch 6, UAD only sent 5 students, in batch 7 UAD sent 8 students.
The students came from several different study programs. English Education sent Hartini to Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Thailand and Siti Aminah to Benguet State University, Philippines. Physical Education sent Neneng Triyunita to Capiz State University, Philippines, Dwi Ayu Lestari to Chiang Rai Rajabhat University and Fitri Kurnia Dewi to Benguet State University, Philippines. Primary Teacher Education sent Stima Anggita Putri to Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, Thailand and Agtari Dwi Utami to Capiz State University, Philippines. Mathematics Education sent Riska Auliyah to Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, Thailand. The eight students had been selected both from the internal UAD and from university hosts from Thailand and Philippines. SEA-Teacher is a routine program involving Southeast Asian countries and facilitated by SEAMEO, which is an organization of education ministries in Southeast Asia.
The student had been given language training and technical matters related to the implementation of international internships from UAD. In addition, students were required to attend online orientation from SEA-Teacher. The training and orientation were expected to help students to adapt to the language, culture and education system of the destination country. According to the head of the Office of International Affairs, Ida Puspita, M.A.Res, “This program is very important because students will get international certificates that can be used as provisions to become Asean level teachers”.
