UAD Sent Alumni to Teach in Thailand
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) in collaboration with the Student and Alumni Bureau (Bimawa) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) sent 9 alumni to teach in Thailand. Prof. Sarbiran PhD (Vice Rector IV-UAD) officially sent the alumni on Main Campus, South Ringroad, Tamanan, Bantul, Tuesday (05/07/2019) ) afternoon. Ida Puspita MARes (The head of OIA), Dr Dedi Pramono MHum (The head Bimawa-UAD), Dr. Trikinasih Handayani MSi (Dean of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty / FKIP-UAD), Nizam Ahsan PhD (Dean of the Faculty of Literature, Culture and Communication / FSBK) also attended in this occasion.
In her speech, Ida Puspita stated that 6 alumni of English Language Education will teach in 5 schools in Thailand. Kalamullah Alquran and Multilingual School, Songsermsasana Vittaya School, Klonhjilad Uppathun School, Uttayan Suksa Krab School. The six alumni, Nurul Hidayah, Umratun Makmur, Devina Ratri PN, Meri Retno Lupitasari, Rani Zahra, Reista Chania Candy. Three alumni of English Literature study program, Debby Elvionita, Rita Sartika, Anggi Nur Rahmasari will teach at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School, Kallamullah Alquran and Multilingual School.
According to Ida Puspita, Alumni teaching in Thailand Program was first held in 2003. “The number of requests annually increases,” said Ida Puspita. Now, UAD has 13 UAD alumni who teach at various partner schools in Thailand and the total number of alumni teaching in Thailand is 22 alumni.
Ida Puspita emphasized Alumni teaching in Thailand Program is the annual program of UAD. “This is the proof of the quality of UAD alumni that is able to compete in the global. Untill now, UAD has sent 50 alumni to become partner school teachers in Thailand,” she said.
