UAD Sends Alumni to Teach in Thailand
/0 Comments/in Event, News /by adminUniversitas Ahmad Dahlan under Office of International Affairs and Students and Alumni Bureau sent 8 alumni to teach in 6 partner schools of UAD in Thailand. They are 4 alumni of English Education Department and 4 alumni of English Letter: Annisa Firdha Wati, Ari Susanti, Anggun Tri Pramesti, Widya Ganeva Ningsih, Suci Febriyani, Indah Dewi Sagita, Esti Subekti, and Muhklisin.
The technical meeting of this yearly program was officially opened by Prof. Sarbiran, M.Ed., Ph.D. Then, it was followed by speeches on Cross-Cultural Understanding that was delivered by Dr. Dedi Pramono, M.Hum. (Head of Students and Alumni Bureau) and Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. (Director of Office of International Affairs).
This program has been conducted between UAD and Thailand Schools since 2013, the number of partner schools of UAD continuously increases.

UAD Attends Growing Indonesia a Triaguler Approach (GITA) Project of Erasmus Plus

(Director of International Office of UAD) and Hari Haryadi S.P., M.Sc. attended Growing Indonesia a Triaguler Approach (GITA) Project of Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
This event was held at University of Gloucestershire UK and it consisted of some agendas such as Workshop, Progress Report, and presentation on “Sociopreneurship” and “Action Plan of GITA Project in UAD”.
In the last day, there was a mini exhibition of erasmus plus university members’ entrepreneurship products. In this opportunity UAD introduced some products of UAD’s alumni and lecturers.
UAD Conducts A Workshop on “Photovoice Training Workshop”
/0 Comments/in Event, International Office Activities, News /by adminUAD under Faculty of Psychology conducted a workshop on “Photovoice Training Workshop”. This workshop was conducted for two days. Prof. Muhamed Seedat and Prof. Shanaaz from University of South Africa were invited as the keynote speaker in this event. The first day was small seminar and discussion, and in the second day was an original photo exhibition.
In the second day, the participants of two days workshop on “Photovoice Training Workshop” showing their taken photos with the theme ” Life of A Working Woman”.
This session was officially opened by Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D. (Vice Rector IV of UAD), Drs. Choirul Anam, M.Si. (Dean of Faculty of Psychology of UAD), Prof. Muhamed Seedat (an invited professor from University of South Africa) and Prof. Shanaaz (an invited Prof. from University of South Africa). Before the photo exhibition was opened, 20 participants (mostly working women) sang an original written song titled “A happy working woman”.
UAD Attends the 5th Evaluation Meeting: Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project)

(Director of International Office of UAD ), and Dr. Tri Kinasih Handayani, M.Si. (Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education) attended the 5th Evaluation Meeting: Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia
(SEA-Teacher Project).
In October 2014, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education through the SEAMEO Council has issued seven priority areas for SEAMEO to work together to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia. The project is mainly for the pre-service student teachers whose major are in math, science, English and pre-school to have the opportunity to conduct their practicum within Southeast Asian countries. The practicum period is for one month.
Further, this meeting aims to 1. To review and evaluate the implementation of the 5th batch of pre-service student teacher exchange and to discuss and plan for the 6th batch of pre-service student exchange. There are hundreds participant from 57 universities of Teacher Education Institutes in Southeast Asia.
UAD and Sathyabama University, India Exchange Lecturers
/0 Comments/in Darmasiswa, Event, News /by adminAs the follow-up of MoU signing and business meeting of UAD and Sathyabama University in January 2017 ago, UAD under Faculty of Economics and Business is sending two lecturers to teach in Sathyabama University, India.
Rai Rake Setyawan, S.E., GD.BUS., M.SA. and MUSTIKA RAHMI, S.E., M.Sc. taught students of MMaster of Business Administration (MBA) during one month from 1sth of February to 2nd of March 2018. During their Program, Rai Rake Setyawan, S.E., GD.BUS., M.SA. and MUSTIKA RAHMI, S.E., M.Sc. visited some tourism places and learn Indian culture.
In 2nd of March Dr. TR. Kalai Lakshmi, M.A. M.BA. M.Phil. Ph.D. and Dr. Nithya S visited UAD. They are scheduled to teach at all program studies under Faculty of Economics and Business for one month. This cooperation supported by TIE-UPS International
Director of International Office of UAD Attends The Second Training of DAAD and HRK

(Director of International Office) attended the 2nd DIES Training Course on Management of Internationalization ASIAN REGIONAL WORKSHOP at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal India from 5th to 10th of March 2018.
This event is one of series activities of DAAD and HRK Scholarship program. Ida Puspita,M.A.Res. delivered speech on “Internationalization at Home” in this 5 days meeting.
The 3rd batch is scheduled to be conducted in German on 3rd of August 2018.
UAD Sends 10 ten Students of Master of English Education to University of Saint Anthony
/0 Comments/in Event, International Office Activities, News /by adminUniversitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) under Master of English Education sends ten students to conduct Joint Thesis Writing Supervision Program at University if Saint Anthony (USANT), Philippines. This is a yearly program between UAD and USANT. This year is the 6th batch, and the number of participant significantly increase. Ten students of Master of English Education are scheduled to have writing thesis supervision for three months from 2nd of March to 21st of Mei 2018 in USANT.
Today, located at Ruang Sidang Utama Kampus 1 UAD, Dr. Kasiyarno, M.Hum. (Rector UAD), Prof. Drs. Sarbiran, M.Ed. Ph.D. (Vice Rector IV UAD) and Dr. R.A. Noer Doddy Irmawati, M.Hum. (the head of Master of English Education) officially delivered speech in the technical meeting of Joint Thesis Writing Supervision Program between UAD and University of Saint Anthony, Philippines (USANT).
UAD and UM Buton Conducted Joint International Community Service Program (KKNI)

Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) and Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton (UMB) conducted a joint International Community Service Program (KKNI) under the grant of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and German Rector’s Conference (HRK). 5 Chinese students participated in this event.
In Yogyakarta, KNNI was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Prambanan and TK ABA Prambanan since 28 January to 3 February 2018. Further, 12 international students under Darmasiswa program from Thailand, Vietnam, Egyp, Tunis, and China joined to this event. They do not only teach at the schools but also participated in local community and programs.
In Buton Sulawesi (4 to 11 February 2018), they taught Basic Mandarin at ABA Aisyiah Baubau and TK Aisyiah ABA Baubau. They also removed the shell and caustic substance of cashews. After the shelling process, the cashews were roasted to deepen the color and enhance the flavor. Before the roasted cashew is packed, they tasted some.
Further, in the last day, the participants participated in a local culture ceremony. Firstly, they got a bride made up to attend pingit tradition ( pingit means that the bridge may not go out of the house and may not meet the future husband during a period of seven days before her wedding ceremony). It is part of a wedding procession in some regions of Indonesia, the process of pingit ethnically different.
After that, they weaved sarong buton (Buton skirt). Sarong is a traditional skirt of Indonesia, it also has different patterns in every part of the country.
UAD under LPM Conducted Local and International KKN
/0 Comments/in Event, Feature, International Office Activities, News /by adminSaturday, located at Islamic Center, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan under Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarat (LPM) officially conducted an official meeting for 2.222 local students who are scheduled to have Community Service Program (KKN). 2199 students will be conducting KKN in some places in Indonesia such as Gunung Kidul, Kulon Progo, Bantul, some places in East Java, and some places in West Kalimantan.
23 students are going to conduct KKN in Songserm Sassana Wittaya Muniti School, Suksasat School and Songkhom Islam Wittaya School, partner schools of UAD in Thailand.
