UAD received a grant for International Credit Transfer from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture. This program is international credit-taking program that is annually organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This year the program will be conducted online due to the pandemic. This program aims to support the policy of the freedom of learning from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Based on the decree of the Ministry of Education and Culture number 1873 / E2 / TU / 2020, dated August 20, 2020, there are 54 universities receiving these funds. Universitas Ahmad Dahlan is one of the grantees that will conduct the program for one semester / 6 months from September 2020 to January 2021.
The grant will be allocated to 7 students from various selected study programs that have collaboration with partner universities abroad. The 7 students are Nur Akhidah Khalimatussa ‘Diyah from Arabic Language and Literature Study Program in collaboration with Universiti Malaya (UM) Malaysia. Ria Nur Widiati and Tenry Reski Wahyu, from English Literature in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia (UiTM). Khafidz El-Faqihani from English Education in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia (UiTM). Zidny Ma’ruf from Master of English Education in collaboration with Universiti Saint Anthony Philippines (USANT). Innes Yonanda and Nora Devi Irianjani, Masters in Professional Psychology in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and the University of Philippines Manila
Ida Puspita M.A. Res., As Head of Office of International Affairs as well as Program Coordinator stated, “Alhamdulillah, UAD again received the grant for International Credit Transfer Program from Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture. UAD has received this kind of grant since 2009. This is the commitment of UAD to become an internationally recognized university.”
UAD has made various achievements in the academic or non-academic fields. Besides International Credit Transfer (ICT), UAD also received a lot of grants to send students abroad from various programs, such as AIMS (Asian International Mobility for Students). This is the UAD vision to become an internationally recognized university with Islamic values. [i]

The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) will organize the 6th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED (Global Citizenship Education) from 25 to 31 May 2020.
The one-week Workshop aims to build capacity of dynamic youth leaders around the world to identify strategies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Target 4.7. While enabling participants to deepen their understanding of GCED, the Workshop allows the young leaders to play a major role and become part of a wider network of youth leaders for GCED.
During the Workshop, participants will identify specific priority issues around global citizenship and establish plans for the future direction of GCED. Working both individually and in groups, the young leaders will devise the goals and strategies for use at local and national levels. Participants will learn about specific areas such as GCED, human rights, and peace building through information sessions and engage in dialogue and debates on the evolving issues. As part of the Workshop, participants will also make a field visit to discuss the role of youth for a more peaceful and sustainable future.
Application for the 6th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED must be submitted before 17 March 2020 (KST 23:59). Successful applicants will be notified by 26 March 2020. Travel expenses and Workshop fees will be covered by APCEIU for the selected participants (participants will be responsible for the domestic travel expenses and visa fees in their own countries).

General Information Brochure
Under the program entitled “Jiangsu Government Scholarship for Southeast Asia”, in 2019 Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education (JPDE) plans to provide 87 scholarships to excellent students from Southeast Asia as follows.
A full scholarship will be given all through the duration of the studies at the Scholarship Recipients’ Institutions subject to annual reviews. It includes financial support as follows:
1. Waiver of tuition and fees including registration, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks required within the program curriculum*.
2. Free on-campus dormitory accommodation, or accommodation allowance of up to CNY10,000 per year*.
3. Living allowance of up to CNY1,500 per month*. Recipients registering on or before the 15th of the registration month will be granted the full living allowance of that month. Recipients registering
after that will only receive half of the living allowance for that month.
4. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students while in China.
*Subject to each institution’s tuition fees and charges. Details will be informed by each institution during admission.
Jiangsu Government Scholarship for SoutheastAsia does not cover:
1. Cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curricula, books or learning materials other than the required basic textbooks.
2. Travel expenses and other related expenses such as visa application fees.

Terms and Conditions for Scholarship
1. Any candidate who wishes to apply for this scholarship must have completed a four-year Bachelor
course in Engineering in a reputed University around the globe. As per the norms of Directorate
of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai, it is necessary to get the equivalence of the course
studied by the candidate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
a. Understanding the procedural efforts that needs to be taken by the candidate for obtaining
the equivalence, we would be able to help the student to get the same. The charges
towards the same need to be borne by the candidate (Equivalence Fee and Registration
Fee: US $500)
2. The candidate must also have a First/Second Class degree (preferably Distinction/Honors) and
must be academically sound. The candidate must also expose passion towards doing research at
Sona College of Technology.
3. At the time of admission, it is necessary that the candidate submits all the documents in English.
It is mandatory that the candidate translates all the transcripts, degree certificate, syllabus and
curriculum to English, thereby enabling quicker processing of the application.
4. It is mandatory that the candidate has a proficient knowledge in English (Speak, Read and Write)
as the mode of teaching at Sona College of Technology would be in English.
a. If the candidate does not have the proficiency in English, the International Affairs Cell of
Sona College of Technology, will help them undergo an English Proficiency Course with
one of its partners for a period of three months. The course fee for the above would be US
$ 585. The accommodation expenses during this course is to be borne by the candidate
itself.
5. A 100% tuition fee waiver is offered to eligible candidate who satisfy the eligibility criteria as fixed
by Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai and Anna University, Chennai. The fee
waiver is applicable to the tuition fee alone and does not cover Semester End Examination Fees
and Equivalence Fee.
a. All International Students admitted in the institution are eligible to enjoy the sports facility
available in the campus at no additional cost. However, it is mandatory that the students
obey to the rules and regulations formulated by the Physical Education Department from
time to time.
6. Hostel facility would be provided to the selected candidate. A nominal charge of US $1400 would
be charged for the utilization of hostel facility. This includes, a twin sharing Non-AC room with
bath attached facility, vegetarian food, electricity, water, bedding, almirah, study table and
complementary WiFi.
a. If the candidate wishes to stay outside the campus, we encourage to do so. However,
during the period of identifying an accommodation outside, the candidate is permitted to
stay in the hostel for a period of one week (seven days) at no additional cost. For any a
stay in the hostel more the stipulated one week would be charged as per hostel norms (US
$5 per day – approx.)
7. The candidate on selection is required to effectively utilize the available resources in the institution
for his development as and when required.
8. The candidate who has been selected under the scholarship would be actively involved in various
academic and research activities in the respective departments.
9. During the period of stay in the campus, it is mandatory that the candidate maintains proper
dress code and abides to the rules and regulations of the institution.
10.Any rules and regulations as listed by the Controller of Examinations needs to be abided by the
candidate for successful completion of the course.
