Chinese Students of UAD Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhong Qiu Jie) at TITD Tjen Ling Kiong
Thursday, September 19, 2013, Chinese students of UAD celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhong Qiu Jie) at TITD Tjen Ling Kiong. In China, Zhong Qiu Jie is a national holiday. The Chinese students usually go hometown, gather with their family and relatives at the house yard, eat moon cake together while watching the beautiful full moon.
“At Mid-Autumn Festival, we usually gather with our parents and relatives, but this year we can’t because we are far away from them. At first, it felt so lonely, but coming here, meeting many Chinese people and celebrate Zhong Qiu Jie together, it feels so warm now…” said Sherly (Luo Mi), one of Chinese students studying Indonesian language at FLCC UAD.
At the celebration last night, the students could also eat together and watched performance such as Chinese songs, dance and others. It seemed they found new family in Jogjakarta.
