A Green Economy International Seminar on 52th Milad of UAD
Faculty of Economics and faculty of Law UAD held an international seminar on “Green Economy for Sustainable Development” on December 21st and 22nd, 2012 at Saphir Hotel, Yogyakarta. The seminar is part of events in the 52nd Milad of UAD. In the first day of this international seminar, there were some speakers consisting of a keynote speaker, Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. (a professor of International Law from University of Indonesia and the expert of Legal Environmental and Corporation Law), and invited speakers, Prof. Dr. Aris Ananta, M.Sc,Ph.D. (Senior Research Fellow ISEAS (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies) Singapore), Dr. Nora Elizabeth (Dean College of Bussiness and Accountancy, university of Nueva Caceres, Philippine), and Rai Rake Setiyawan, S.E.,M.Sa. (Senior researcher IPSED, a lecturer of faculty of Economics UAD). The second day of this seminar was a parallel session. There were around 40 call for papers presented by participants. There were many great presenters delivering and critisizing problems that they bring from their regions. At that moment they could share, inspire and be inspired one each other.
The participants of this international seminar came from various departments, such as students, institutions, practitioners, NGO, and generals. They came from various regions in Indonesia and also from Johor, Malaysia. They were satisfied and excited with that seminar. From that international seminar they hope that next year there will be a similar seminar bringing theme from many different regions. This idea was welcomed well by the speakers. (Eci)
