International Community Service 2020
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan sends students to conduct Community Service (KKN) program. Located at the Islamic Center UAD Mosque on campus 4, Friday 24 January 2020, as many as 2265 participants of the 2019-2020 odd semester KKN were officially deployed to the community, with the theme, “The acceleration of marginal areas towards smart, healthy, friendly environment with character socio-ecopreneur, universal and Islamic values through Community Service Activities”. All participants of Community Service will be deployed to various locations in Indonesia, including: Banjar Negara District (Central Java), DIY Province, Gorontalo Province, and Southern Thailand, or commonly known as International Coomunity Service (KKN Internasional).
International Community Service had become an annual program at UAD. This program has been going on for several years and is still continuing, as a realization of cooperation with several partner schools in Southern Thailand. Of the 2265 KKN participants that were deployed this year, 12 of them will take part in International Community Service activities in Thailand, which are all divided into two groups.
The first group consisted of Siti Handini (Accounting), Reni Novianti (Indonesian Literature), Nurohmah Dewiaisyah (English Literature), Muneeroh Jehma (Indonesian Literature), Mila Nurdesinta Saragih (Biology), and Nor Najihah Saad (English Education). These 6 participants will later be deployed to the “Soongsermsasana Vittaya School”, one of the UAD partner schools in Songkhla Province, Southern Thailand.
While the second groups include, Gisela Putri Haresti (Accounting), M. Akbar Rabbani (Law), Zen Adi Laksana (Chemical Engineering), Dwi Novita Saputri (Indonesian Literature), Rusmeenee Sasa (Indonesian Literature), Hasuna Sando (English Language Education) they will later undergo KKN activities at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School.
All the students will stay in partner school for a month as well as the society in Thailand to learn more about Thai culture and also promoting Indonesian cultures abroad. (i)
