KKUI UAD organizes a Predeparture program to 11 Students participating in Thailand International Community Service
Yogyakarta, December 18, 2024 – Office of Partnrship and International Affairs (KKUI) Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) organized a briefing session for 11 students who will participate in the International Community Service Program (KKN) in Thailand at the beginning of 2025. The event aimed to prepare the students for the challenges they may face during the program.
The briefing was attended by the Head of the KKUI Unit, Ulaya Ahdiani, S.Hum., M.Hum., and the Head of the International Cooperation Division, Afit Istiandaru, S.Pd., M.Pd. Representatives from partner institutions in Thailand also participated, including Mr. Preecha Roengsamut, Miss Hanadi Mateemai from Prik Municipality School, Mr. Muttaba Mudsem from Pattanasart Foundation School, and Miss Riesta Chania Sandy, S.Pd. from Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School.
Additionally, alumni of last year’s International KKN program, such as Raka Afrinata, S.I.Kom., and Ellia Rahmawati, S.Pd., served as speakers. They shared their experiences during the program, covering everything from departure to return, including the work programs they carried out and various tips and strategies for success.
During the briefing, representatives from partner schools in Thailand explained various essential aspects, including the Thai education system, curriculum levels, work culture, dress codes, workplace etiquette, and dos and don’ts within the school environment.
Meanwhile, Afit Istiandaru, S.Pd., M.Pd., provided technical guidance on administrative preparations, such as passport issuance, and other logistical arrangements. He also shared tips on how students can maximize their learning experiences and interactions in a foreign country.
This International KKN program is part of UAD’s efforts to support the global competency development of its students while strengthening ties with partner institutions abroad.
