iHiLead Conducted A Kick-off Meeting
/0 Comments/in Feature, International Office Activities, News /by adminTuesday (2/3) Indonesian Higher Education Leadership (iHiLead) team under coordination of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of The Republic of Indonesia conducted a kick-off meeting to inaugurate and discuss “Implementation of Indonesian Higher Education (iHiLead) on Freedom to Learn Freedom Campus Policy”.
This meeting was attended by seven inHiLead consortium Indonesia, and three inHiLead consortium Europe. Prof. Ir. Nizam M.Sc., DIC., Ph. D. (The Director of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of The Republic of Indonesia ), David Dawson, Ph.D., FCIPD., SHEA. (University of Gloucestershire), and H.E. Vincent Piket, M.A., Ph.D. (Ammbasador of the European Union to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam) presented the possible implementation cooperation between Indonesian and European institutions. This meeting was moderated by Ida Puspita, S.S., M.A.Res. (the head of International Cooperation Division of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan).
Prof. Ir. Nizam M.Sc., DIC., Ph. D. stated that iHiLead consortium partnership agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between Indonesian and European Higher Education Institutions. Furthermore, it invests strong Indonesian human resources facing the economic growth (Utantoro, 2021).

UAD and Sathyabama University, India Exchange Lecturers
/0 Comments/in Darmasiswa, Event, News /by adminAs the follow-up of MoU signing and business meeting of UAD and Sathyabama University in January 2017 ago, UAD under Faculty of Economics and Business is sending two lecturers to teach in Sathyabama University, India.
Rai Rake Setyawan, S.E., GD.BUS., M.SA. and MUSTIKA RAHMI, S.E., M.Sc. taught students of MMaster of Business Administration (MBA) during one month from 1sth of February to 2nd of March 2018. During their Program, Rai Rake Setyawan, S.E., GD.BUS., M.SA. and MUSTIKA RAHMI, S.E., M.Sc. visited some tourism places and learn Indian culture.
In 2nd of March Dr. TR. Kalai Lakshmi, M.A. M.BA. M.Phil. Ph.D. and Dr. Nithya S visited UAD. They are scheduled to teach at all program studies under Faculty of Economics and Business for one month. This cooperation supported by TIE-UPS International
Director of International Office of UAD Attends The Second Training of DAAD and HRK

(Director of International Office) attended the 2nd DIES Training Course on Management of Internationalization ASIAN REGIONAL WORKSHOP at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal India from 5th to 10th of March 2018.
This event is one of series activities of DAAD and HRK Scholarship program. Ida Puspita,M.A.Res. delivered speech on “Internationalization at Home” in this 5 days meeting.
The 3rd batch is scheduled to be conducted in German on 3rd of August 2018.
UAD Strengthen Cooperation with Taiwan Universities
/in Event, Feature, International Office Activities, News /by adminJakarta, 9th March 2017, located at Gedung Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah (PPM), Directorate of Higher Education of Muhammadiyah Central Assembly conducted an official MoU signing between 35 Muhammadiyah Higher Education with 12 Taiwan Universities.
This event was officially opened by speeches those were delivered by Dr. H. Haedar Nashir, M.Si. (The head Muhammadiyah Islamic Organization) and Dr. William Lai (representative of Tainan government, Taiwan). Then it was followed by official signing MoU ceremony. In this opportunity, UAD was represented by Dr.Kasiyarno,M.Hum. (Rector of UAD) and Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. (Director of International Office of UAD).

Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) and University of Saint Anthony (USANT ), Philippines Strengthens Cooperations

UAD welcomed 17 representatives from University of Saint Anthony, Philippines. 13 people of them are students and others are faculty members. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Kasiyarno,M.Hum. (Rector of UAD), Dr. Abdul Fadlil, M.T. (Vice Rector III), Faculty Members as well as Staff of International Office Affairs.
The students came to conduct Internship at UAD for one month. 16th of January, they started doing their program at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education and Faculty of Letters, Culture and Communication.
Saturday, 16th January 2016. Located at Meeting Room of Wisma Sargede (now, belongs to UAD), Post-Graduate Programs of UAD cooperated with University of Saint Anthony held Joint International Seminar. Invited speakers were Estrella T. Aroyo, M.A., Prof. Francia T. Buffe,M.A.Ed., Dr. R.A. Noer Doddy Irmawati, M.Hum., Prof. Emma V. Veras, Dr. Kasiyarno, M.Hum, Mr. Mark Phillip C. Paderan, Umi Rokhyati,M.Hum, and Dwi Santoso, M.Hum. More than 100 participants seriously participated in this event, some of them asked questions after the speakers gave the speech. This event was one of internship programs that has been held by UAD and USANT.
In addition, 18th January 2016. During their internship program, 4 university students from University of Saint Anthony (USANT) visited Montessory School, SD Muhammadiyah Condong Catur and SMP Muhammadiyah Depok. They were enthusiastically welcomed by the students and teachers. They experienced Indonesian teaching method. Rirchad (student of the Saint Anthony University) said, “I felt in love in the first meeting with all of the students. They are so cute”.
A Staff of International Office Affairs of UAD Does Internship Program at BINUS University
/in Event, International Office Activities, News /by adminIn order to internationalize Indonesian education, Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) encourages universities to succeed some programs. UAD, as one of universities which gets fund from DIKTI, points Nurun Isnaeni as a representative of OIA UAD to get experience in BINUS University.
Nurun Isnaeni, from 13rd to 27th of September 2015, did internship program at BINUS University. She learnt handling international program such as hosting international students, immigration service, inbound and outbound students, opening cooperation, etc. .
“BINUS University largely known has strong and large international cooperation, so I am so glad that I have chances to learn there. Everybody warmly welcomed me. Moreover they are very helpful in giving advice and guidance. I learnt much”, said Nurun Isnaeni.
Additionally, this program brings new cooperation plans between UAD and BINUS University. As a further realization of the program, the director of international office UAD will visit BINUS University to join international workshop conducted by BINUS University.
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Conducts International Community Engagement in Thailand
/in Event, News /by admin27th July to 27 August 2015. Located at four different places in Thailand, 8 students of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan conducted International Community Engagement. They are three students from Faculty of Pharmacy, one student from Faculty of Biology, one student from Indonesian Literature and Education Study Program, and three students from English Education Study Program.
Three students from Faculty of Pharmacy conducted International Community Engagement at Rangsit University and Narathiwat Rajanagarindra Hospital.
“They welcomed us friendly, we met and consulted with many patients. They speak Malay so we can communicate easily”
Moreover, five students from Faculty of Biology, Indonesian Literature and Education Study Program, and English Education Study Program conducted International Community Engagement at Suksasat School and Songserm Wittaya School.
Their program consisted of teaching Indonesian, English and Islamic Value, etc. Additionally, they did sport and other outdoor activities with students.
“We hope that we can apply our knowledge not only nationally but also internationally” Said Mohammad Luthfi Imama (The leader of International Community Engagement Thailand).
Two Lecturers of UAD Give Speech at Nueva Caceres University, Philippines

Located at Nueva Caceres University (UNC), Philippines, two lecturers (Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D., and Eko Nursulistiyo, S.Si) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan gave speeches on University Engagement Through Research Culture Development and Innovations. UAD was invited because of its success in conducting International Community Engagement.
There were about 200 people consisted of lecturers and students from UNC eagerly participated in this event. Moreover, 3 lecturers from University of Saint Anthony came to joint this event.
“Participants enthusiastically give questions, they are interested to do joint research with UAD” said Eko Nursulistiyo, S.Si. In addition, Prof. Sarbiran,Ph.D., said “We always open chances to do joint research with UNC and University of Saint Anthony”.
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) as A Special Guest in Jogja Fashion Week 2015
/in Event, Feature, News /by admin30th August 2015. Universitas Ahmad Dahlan participated in Closing Festival of Jogja Fashion Week which was conducted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. UAD was the only university invited to join the event. 25 international students of UAD participated in this event, they consist of 19 students from China, 4 students from Thailand, 1 student from Yemen and 1 student from Timor Leste. Most of the students wore their traditional costume to reflect their own cultures.
All of the students enthusiastically walked from the starting point at Office of Dinas Pariwisata to Zero Point Miles of Yogyakarta.
“Participating in this event is my first and unforgettable experience during my study in Indonesia”, said Ali Abdulraoof Taha Al-Maktari from Yemen.
He added “Many people friendly came and told to us. I am happy, it helps us to practice our Indonesian language”.
Many visitors excitedly came and requested to take photos with international students of UAD.
