A Story from Asma Kurnia, S.Pd., from Indonesia to Thailand and Malaysia with Love
Asma Kurnia, S.Pd., an alumnus of English Education UAD, now currently teaches English and Bahasa Indonesia at Suksasat School, Songkhla, Thailand, attended TRAINING OF TEACHERS (TOT) themed “KPTM: REACH FOR SONGKHLA – Sharing is Caring”. This training was held by Kolej Poli-Tech Mara (KPTM), Malaysia, cooperated with some schools in Shongkhla starting from October 24 to 28, 2013. Asma, as one of teacher representatives of Suksasat School, was the only one Indonesian teacher. This training was participated by 49 teachers from 6 schools those are Thayaiwittaya School, Songserm Whittaya Mulnitii School, Jariattammulnitii School, Tamsuksa Mulniti School, Pattanakan Suksa School, dan Suksasat School.
In this training, Asma impressed other participants when she presented a method in teaching English and communicated with Thai language. Other participants were also interested to have Indonesian teachers at their schools because Indonesian teachers are active, creative, friendly, and easy-going.
