The 5th UAD International Day 2014 “Wonderful Indonesia”
Office of International Affairs UAD held The 5th UAD International Day 2014 themed “Wonderful Indonesia”. The International Day is an annual event held by the OIA UAD since 2011 as a place for international students of UAD to interact with local students, lecturers and all UAD members.
Officially opened by Vice Rector IV UAD, Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D., The 5th UAD International Day started on November 22 with the agenda of Story Telling Preliminary Round, then sport competition on November 23 and the peak of the agenda was the culinary festival held on December 6. The Culinary Festival itself consisted of some programs such as Bakmi Jawa Cooking Competition, Asing star competition, Story telling, and the announcement. These International Day programs were participated by all international students which are about 200 students.
Held at Green Hall campus I UAD, this year, the culinary festival was participated by 12 culinary booths from 9 countries consisting of 3 China Booths, 2 Thailand Booths, 1 Malaysia Booth, 1 Philippines Booth, 1 Vietnam Booth, 1 Timor Leste Booth, 1 India Booth, 1 Ukraine Booth, and 1 Indonesia Booth. Each booth provide 3 menus consisting of food and beverages from each country. At the stage, the international students showed their talents in telling a story, singing, dancing, martial arts, etc. All international student performers performed very well and got big applause from the judges and visitors.
