UAD Welcomes 43 International Students from Various Countries
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Yogyakarta officially launched the 2024 Campus Introduction Program (P2K). This event was held at the Amphitheater Room of the Main Building of Kampus 4 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. P2K is an annual program aiming to introduce new students to the academic environment, campus culture, Muhammadiyah, and the core values of UAD.
Prof. Dr. Muchlas, M.T. (Rector) accompanied by Dr. Gatot Sugiharto, S.H., M.H. (Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni), Dr. Choirul Fajri, S.I.Kom., M.A. (Head of Student and Alumni Office Affairs), Rendi Herinarso (Student President), and Arrijal Firmansyah (Chairperson of the P2K 2024 Committee) symbolically inaugurated the program.
In his report, Dr. Choirul Fajri, S.I.Kom., M.A., mentioned that this year, P2K is attended by 4,040 students, 43 of them are international students from various countries, including Egypt, Kenya, China, South Korea, Madagascar, Thailand, Tajikistan, and Timor Leste.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Muchlas, M.T., and Dr. Gatot Sugiharto symbolically pinned the university alma mater jacket for the student representatives consisting of the youngest student, a student from the furthest region in Indonesia, and two international students from China and Turkey, symbolizing that the UAD 2024 P2K program has been started.
