A Cultural Trip “Knowing Indonesia through Its Culture”
Friday, January 17, 2014, students of BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) program joined a Cultural Trip “Knowing Indonesia through Its Culture”, organized by Language Center of UAD. First, the students, who come from China, visited Giriloyo Batik Center in Imogiri, Bantul. There, they were told the history of batik Giriloyo and directly practiced to make Batik. Then, they could bring home Batik which they had made themselves.
The next place visited was Imogiri Sultan Family Cemetery. There, they learned the history of Yogyakarta and Sultan family. All students were really happy and enthusiastic during the trip.
