International Conference on Challenge of Patient Safety Application toward Universal Health Coverage in Developing Countries
Wednesday-Thursday, May 20-21, 2015, Faculty of Public Health UAD held an International Conference on Challenge of Patient Safety Application toward Universal Health Coverage in Developing Countries. Held in Cavinton Hotel Yogyakarta, the Keynote speech was delivered by Roderick Salenga, MPH (University of Philippines Manila) and the plenary speeches were by Prof. Ali Ghufron Mukti (Universitas Gadjah Mada), Prof. A.A. Kaptein (Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands), Yukiko Yokoburi (The IFHIMA director of Southeast Asia, Japan Hospital Association), and Rosyidah, M.Kes (UAD). This conference was officially opened by Vice Rector IV UAD, Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D. and presented a traditional dance named “Persembahan” to welcome all speakers and participants.
Participated by more than 250 participants from around Indonesia and other countries, this conference was held to contribute idea and suggestion to improve the health service quality in Indonesia in the future. This kind of conference is an annual agenda held by Faculty of Public Health UAD with different topics related to the health current issues. Besides the conference, there were also MoU signing ceremony between Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands and three faculties in UAD which were Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Psychology.
