Professor Indalecio Shares Fresh Perspectives in UAD Cross-Cultural Understanding Class
Yogyakarta, December 4, 2024 – Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) continues to strengthen its globally-oriented academic atmosphere by inviting Prof. Indalecio from the Universidad de Granada, Spain, as a guest lecturer. His presence became a highlight in the Cross-Cultural Understanding class under the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Literature, Culture, and Communication at UAD.
The class transformed into a gateway to the golden age of Andalusia, Spain, enriched by Prof. Indalecio’s captivating historical narratives. He took students on a journey through Andalusia’s legacy as a symbol of cross-cultural harmony, a place where knowledge, art, and culture flourished for centuries.
In his lecture, Prof. Indalecio delved into the significant contributions of Muslim scholars and the unique collaboration between Islamic, Christian, and Jewish civilizations that shaped the identity of Andalusia. With his dynamic delivery, he connected Andalusia’s values of tolerance to the challenges of cultural diversity in the modern era, fostering lively and insightful discussions in the class.
