Sharing Best Practice and Presentation with Evelien Hack, MA, Coordinator Internationalization LUMC, The Netherlands
/in Event, News /by adminTuesday and Thursday, May 19 and 21, 2015, Office of International Affairs UAD held Sharing Best Practise and Presentation with Evelien Hack, MA, Coordinator Internationalization Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands. There were two topics which are How to Internationalize your faculty/institution and How to approach partner institution. Besides attended by deans of faculties and heads of study programs, this agenda was also participated by head of International office of Stikes Aisyiyah Yogyakarta and delegations of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto.
Officially opened by Vice Rector IV UAD, Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D., this agenda aimed to motivate and share the best practise in internationalization programs, especially that have been conducting by LUMC. Besides this sharing, the visit of Evelien Hack to UAD was also to bring the MoU between LUMC and three faculties in UAD (Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Psychology). On May 20, MoU Signing ceremony was held in Cavinton Hotel Yogyakarta.
Discussion for Legal Academicians and Practitioners on “Australian Legal Education and Development in the Legal Profession”

Prof. Rick Snell Deputy Dean of Law Faculty University of Tasmania (UTas), Australia. Held in Meeting room campus II UAD, this discussion was moderated by Norma Sari, S.H., M.Hum. Inviting Assoc. Prof. Rick Snell from UTas, this activity was also one of cooperation realizations between Faculty of Law UAD and Faculty of Law UTas especially from the discussion during the visit of dean of Law Faculty UAD to UTas last March.
This discussion was participated by lecturers of Law Faculty UAD, Dean and lecturers of Law Faculty of Universities in Yogyakarta, and Dean and lecturers of Law Faculty of Muhammadiyah Universities from around Indonesia, also practitioners from State Court and Legal Aids Center in Yogyakarta.
Studium Generale on Reflections about Comparative Australian and Indonesian Administrative Law

Professor Rick Snell Deputy Dean of Law Faculty University of Tasmania (UTas), Australia. Held in auditorium campus II UAD, this studium generale was moderated by Fauzan Muhammadi, Lc., LL.M.. Inviting Assoc. Prof. Rick Snell from UTas, this activity was one of cooperation realizations between Faculty of Law UAD and Faculty of Law UTas especially from the discussion during the visit of dean of Law Faculty UAD to UTas last March.
In his lecture, A/Prof. Rick Snell explained why it is difficult to compare Administrative Law in Australia and Indonesia seeing the differences in the number of population, GDP, military expenditure, Human Development index, pre-colonial history, colonial history, culture, language, ethnicity, etc. He also discussed some issues in administrative law such as Law Reform, Ombudsman, and Freedom of Information. During the question and answer session, there were many questions coming from participants that consisted of students of Law Faculty UAD and some dean of Law Faculty of Muhammadiyah Universities from around Indonesia. Some questions related to relationship between Indonesia and Australia regarding to the case of Bali Nine Execution.
Introducing Education System in France
/in Event, News /by adminThursday, April 23, 2015, the delegations of Institut Francais Indonesia (IFI) visited UAD and gave a presentation about Education System in France and opportunity to study in France. The delegations were Christine Moerman, Director of IFI and Nur Fitria, the PIC of Campus France Yogyakarta. Held in meeting room campus I UAD, this presentation was attended by lecturers and students of UAD. Seeing the enthusiasm of participants, IFI gave chance to 100 UAD lecturers and students to study French for free for one meeting.
President of University of Saint Anthony Gives a Remarks at Graduation Ceremony UAD
/in Event, News /by adminMarch 28, 2015, Atty Santiago D. Ortega, Jr., President Of University of Saint Anthony, Philippines, one of UAD partner universities, gave a special remarks in the graduation ceremony UAD in Jogja Expo Center Yogyakarta.
Witnessed by about 2500 people consisting of graduates, graduate’s parents, lecturers, UAD senate members, etc., Atty Santiago shared on how to face the ASEAN Economic Community Philippines has change its education system especially the primary education which is now 12 years, meanwhile in the higher education, entrepreneurship is highly promoted. “In Philippines, the biggest university registrant and graduate are business and management,” Said Atty.
UAD Signed MoU with Clayton North Primary School, Australia and Perhimpunan Indonesia Belajar
/in Event, News /by adminMarch 14-20, 2015, delegations of UAD and Principal of Condong Catur Primary School Yogyakarta (as the representative of teachers in Yogyakarta), visited Melbourne to exchange good practices in Education with Clayton North Primary School (CNPS). The first agenda was MoU signing among UAD, CNPS, and Perhimpunan Indonesia Belajar (PIB) as the organization that motors this program, on March 17.
“As one an Institute of Teacher Training and Education in Indonesia, UAD always improves the competency of lecturers and students who are also candidate of teachers. The cooperation among UAD, CNPS, and PIB is one of ways to do that especially for lecturers and students at Early Childhood Education and Primary Teacher Education Study Program of UAD.” Said Dr. Kasiyarno, Rector of UAD.
September 2014, UAD has ever invited two teachers of Clayton North Primary School to be speakers in a Teacher workshop on ”Building Children’s Positive Character through Enjoyable, Healthy and Children-Friendly School” (Learning from Schools in Australia). The visit to Melbourne is follow up of the workshop. For one week, the representative of teachers and also lecturers of UAD sat-in the class to directly observe the instruction in Clayton North such as how Australian schools design the student-centered instruction, how to improve literacy culture, how to deal with students and character building.
For the next cooperative activity, UAD plans to invite Guidance and Counseling teacher of CNPS to give workshop on how to deal with “naughty” children for lecturers and teachers of UAD lab schools in Yogyakarta. In the future, UAD also wants to build its own schools from early childhood education to senior high school. UAD hopes to build such enjoyable, healthy and children-friendly schools that can build the children character.
Intan Dwi Isparulita, A Student of Chemical Engineering Got An Outstanding Presentation Award in The 1st International Engineering Student Forum 2015

Intan Dwi Isparulita, a student of Chemical Engineering Faculty of Industrial Technology UAD, got an Outstanding Presentation Award in The 1st International Engineering Student Forum (IENS 2015) held on March 4-9, 2015 yang lalu di Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University (KKU) Thailand.
“Having a chance to be a participant of IENS 2015 and got an Outstanding Presentation Award was a priceless experience for me. This event was participated by a lot of universities in Asia such as UNTAG Surabaya (Indonesia), Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (Indonesia). National Kaohsiung Marine University (Taiwan), Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan), National University of Laos (Laos) and Khon Kaen University (Thailand). I was in Thailand from 4 to 9 March 2015 and I presented my poster on March 7, 2015. There were about 78 poster in 4 different topics. My poster was categorized in smart material and intelligent Technology entitled adalah Synthesis Japanese Crystal Algae to Reduce Obesity.” Said Intan.
Faculty of Law UAD Holds a General Lecture with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuarrual Hilal MD. Dahlan from Universiti Utara Malaysia
/in Event, News /by adminMonday, March 16, 2015, Faculty of Law UAD held a general lecture with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuarrual Hilal MD. Dahlan, President of Academic Staff Association, Universiti Utara Malaysia. Themed on Islambay’ Bithaman Al-Ajil (BBA) Property Funding: Concept, Issue, and The Implementation in Malaysia, this general lecture was held in meeting room campus II UAD and participated by about 80 participants consisting of lecturers and students of UAD.
Beside Dr. Nuarrual Hilal, there were also 3 other delegations from Academic Staff Association (PERSATU) Universiti Utara Malaysia who visited Faculty of Law UAD. The delegations were welcomed by Vice Rector IV UAD, Prof. Sarbiran, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Law, Rahmad Muhadjir Nugroho, S.H., M.H., Head of Law Study Program, Wita Setyaningrum, S.H., LL.M., Head of Law Laboratory, Norma Sari, S.H., M.Hum., and other lecturers. Further, UUM delegations and Faculty of Law UAD also discussed the cooperative activities to realize MoU between UAD and UUM that has signed since 2009 and now is in extension process.
