The Preliminary Round of Indonesian Story Telling Competition for International Students of UAD
Saturday, December 7, 2013, The 4th UAD International Day began. The first agenda was the preliminary round of Indonesian Story Telling Competition for International Students of UAD. 13 International students from China, Malaysia, Thailand and Uzbekistan, competed to be the Big 5 and perform on December 14 as the peak of the event. There were three stories that can be selected by the participants, Lutung Kasarung, Danau Toba and Kancil dan Buaya. The judges of the preliminary round were Ina Ruslinah, S.Pd., Muhammad Hafiz Kurniawan, S.S., and Fitri Merawati, S.Pd. They are Indonesian language lecturers of BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speaker) Program in UAD.
All participants were very creative in telling the story. Even though some participants chose same story, but the ways they told the story were different. The Big 5 were the best of the best. The Big 5 selected were Nazeefah (Malaysia) with score of 261, Shamila (China) with score of 238, Nur Atiqah (Malaysia) with score of 237, Dini & Felina (China) with score of 208, Nancy (China) with score of 166.
