UAD Enlarges Cooperation in West of Australia
12nd- 17th March 2016 representatives of UAD and some private universities from Yogyakarta under APTISI Yogyakarta (Association of Private Higher Education Institutions in Yogyakarta) visited some universities in West of Australia. In this chance, UAD was represented by Dr. Kasiyarno,M.Hum (Rector of UAD) and Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. (Head of International office of UAD). This visit aims to open and build cooperation with Australian universities.
All representatives were kindly welcomed in Curtin University and Murdoch University of West Australia. MoU was signed between APTISI and ENGENESIS Pty Ltd- Western Australia. However, since both parties agreed to successfully run the projects before officially signing an MoU, MoU between universities was not signed. In the meeting they discuss further project they must be done before singing MoU.
The agreement with Curtin University focuses on industry such as engineering, robotics, entrepreneurship, etc. As the first project, they agreed to conduct a competition between Indonesian and Australian students in closed time. Further,since Murdoch University has Indonesian Study Center, the agreement with Murdoch University focuses on Indonesian Study.
Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. said “Since UAD has not cooperated yet with universities from West of Australia, this agreement is very important to enlarge international cooperation of UAD. In addition, UAD will help to access funds from Australian Government for Roram New Colombo Plan”.
