UAD held an online seminar entitled “Strategies to Increase the Number of Foreign Students During the Pandemic Through Virtual Student Mobility Activities” (23/11/2020). This event is the response of higher education affected by Covid-19. One of the biggest impacts experienced by higher education is student mobility both at the national and international levels. For this reason, higher education creativity plays an important role to increase student mobility during the pandemic. This event also aims to increase the quality and number of students, especially international students.
This seminar was initiated by International Affairs Division, Office of Partnership and International Affairs (KKUI), and appointed Ida Puspita, M.A. Res. As chairperson of the event committee. This seminar was attended by the officials of UAD and representatives of other universities from all over Indonesia. This seminar presented 3 speakers from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Adhrial Refaddin S.I.P., M.P.P. (Sub-Coordinator of Higher Education Institutional Strengthening, Ministry and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia), Iman Harymawan., B.A., MBA., Ph.D. (Head of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) Universitas Airlangga) and Dr. Maria Anityasari., S.T., M.Eng. Sc. (Director of Global Engagement, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November) and the event was moderated by Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. (Head of International Affairs Division, Office of Partnership and International Affairs, UAD).
This event was opened by Dr. Muchlas M.T. as the Rector of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, then continued with remarks from Dwi Santoso, Ph.D. as Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs (KKUI). Ida Puspita M.A. Res., As the Head of Foreign Cooperation, KKUI UAD said, “This activity is the effort to increase the creativity of higher education institutions, especially UAD and, to strengthen the internationalization of higher education institutions during the Pandemic”.
