UAD Holds 2nd IC-GWBT 2013
Yesterday, UAD held 2nd International Conference on Green World in Business and Technology (IC-GWBT) 2013 participated by national and international participants at auditorium Kampus 3 UAD. This international conference was divided into first plenary session, second plenary session, and parallel session. There are three speakers in the first plenary session: Aris Ananta,M.Sc.,Ph.D (Asian Development Bank Researcher, Singapore), Dra. Endang Semiarti,M.S.,M.Sc.,D.Sc. (Faculty of Biology Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia), and Prof. Dr. Achmad Mursyidi,M.Sc.,Apt. (Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Indonesia). The speakers of the second plenary session were Prof. Dr. Margareth Greferer (DAAD-Lecturer in Econimics at UIN-Jakarta, Indonesia), and Prof. Mustofa bin Mat Deris (University Tunn Hussein Onn, Malaysia). And in parallel session, the participants and call for papers presenters were divided into four different rooms.
The background of this international conference was the issues of global warming, as well as increasing CO2 emissions in the air, high air temperature, climate change, deforestation, flooding, energy crisis, food crisis that cause human life to be uncomfortable. By the theme “Intellectual Property Rights in Technopreneurship based on Green Business and Technology”, 2nd IC-GWBT 2013 was designed to invite and bring practitioners, scientists and environmentalists from various disciplines together to contribute to the government of Indonesia and the world in preventing and overcoming all the consequences of environmental damage.
There were several general fields covered by the conference, such as Agronomy (Agroindustrie, etc.), Biotechnology (Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiology, Biochemestry, etc.), Education, Environment (monitoring and modeling, policies and planning, Clean Technologies, Green House Effect, Impacts of pollutions, etc.), Green Buildings & Smart homes, Green Economy (Accounting, finance, Marketing Business, etc.), Green Educational Technologies, Green Food, Feed and Drink Technology, Green Manufacturing & Energy efficiency, Green Science (Computing trends , Biology, Chemistry, etc.), Green Technology (Engineering, Information and Communication, Technopreneurship, etc.), Health (Pharmacy, Nutrition, Medicine, etc.), Psychology, Religion, Sustainable development, and any other relevant topics. In 2nd IC-GWBT 2013 there are 43 call papers from some universities from Indonesia and other countries such as from Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. The best paper will be published in Telkomnika (national accredited journal of Electrical Engineering) (Terms and Conditions applied) and potential patented researches will be facilitated to register its patent (Terms and Conditions applied). And by this 2nd IC-GWBT 2013, it was expected to discuss solutions to address all aspects of program-related “green world”. (Ecy)
