UAD Students Finish Their International KKN Program (Community Engagement) in Thailand
After one month conducting International KKN in Thailand, 14 students of UAD came back to Indonesia. The 14 students were from Mathematics, Physics, and Biology Education Study Programs who were divided into two groups. Group I conducted KKN in two locations, Suksasat School, Songserm Wittaya School and muslim community near the two schools. Group II conducted KKN in Songserm Sasana Vitaya School, Anshor Al-Sunnah School and also muslim community near the two schools.
There were some featured programs conducted by two groups such as teaching to play angklung, Hajj Training, English Camp, BIPTA (Bahasa Indonesia for Thailand Students) teaching to dance Badinding dance, Art Performance Festival, etc. Although at first language difference became one of problems in conducting the programs, it was solved by the assistance of some UAD alumni who currently teach in Thailand.
The schools and the muslim community in Hatyai, Thailand, enthusiastically welcomed and participated in some program conducted by UAD students. The UAD students were also very happy because the schools members and the community were really warm and helped them a lot.
“The society there are really easy to accept and love us even though we are foreigners. They often invited us to have dinner at their house or send us many kinds of fruits.” said Lila Nurlatiefah, one of the UAD students.
