UAD Welcomed 9 Students from USANT for One-month Student Exchange
UAD welcomed 9 students from USANT for one-month student exchange (06/03/2019). The nine students are Jinky Mae P. Celebrado, Lorelee Lou C. Curtan, Barbie V. Layaguin studied at the Faculty of Psychology. Gloremel B. Gapunuan, Maritee R. Nacario, Laarni B. Rivera, Rodolfo Jeff B. Tino studied at the Communication Studies, Faculty of Literature Culture and Communication. Richard M. Andalis studied at the Law Faculty. Joellan Salvador D. Javier studied in English Literature study program, Faculty of Literature Culture and Communication. This was the second time UAD welcomes USANT students in the 2018/2019 school year. In the past batch, UAD welcomed 10 students studying in FKIP.
UAD and USANT have collaborated since 2013. The realization of the collaboration has been carried out since 2014. UAD sent the students to USANT for various programs such as the Joint Thesis Supervision for Masters students in English Education. The Joint Thesis Supervision is a thesis writing program at USANT, Philippines with supervisors from both universities.
The student exchange activities to USANT from the Psychology faculty got credit transfer scholarships from the Ministry of Research and Higher Education in 2017. The cooperation between UAD and USANT also in the form of Joint Publications, Joint Seminars, and Lecturer Exchange. For five years, this collaboration has many benefits such as improving language communication skills for local UAD students. In addition, this collaboration is beneficial to promote UAD in the ASEA. The welcoming ceremony was opened by a speech from the Vice Rector IV Prof. Drs. Sarbiran, M.Ed., Ph.D, then continued with remarks by the head of Office of International Affairs, Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. In her remark, the head of OIA said, “UAD annually accepts students from USANT for learning media to prepare the ASEAN economic community”.
