UAD Welcomed a visitation from Thai Embassy, Strengthen the Collaboration and Encourage Thai students
Yogyakarta, December 16, 2025 — Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), through the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs (KKUI), received an official visit from a delegation of the Royal Thai Embassy as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations in education and enhance support for Thai students studying at UAD.
The Royal Thai Embassy delegation was led by Mrs. Hathaichanok Riddhagni Frumau, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, accompanied by Col. Supakarn Jindawat (Military Attaché), Mrs. Arisa Kiatchaiisara (Minister Counsellor), Lt. Col. Eakarat Mukpapart (Assistant Military Attaché), Ms. Samita Noonpakdee (First Secretary), and Ms. Rian Juwita (Education Assistant).
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Rector of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, along with the university’s vice rectors, representatives from the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs, the Student and Alumni Affairs Division, as well as four Thai students who are currently pursuing their studies at UAD.
During the meeting, representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy expressed their intention to strengthen ties with UAD while conveying their trust in the university as a higher education institution where Thai students pursue their studies. The embassy also expressed hope that Thai students at UAD could be facilitated to join the Thai student community in Indonesia, particularly in the Yogyakarta region, to strengthen networking, solidarity, and mutual support during their study period.
As part of its commitment to internationalization, UAD presented an overview of the university’s profile, available academic programs, the number of Thai students currently studying at UAD, as well as various collaborations between UAD and educational partners in Thailand. UAD also highlighted its participation in the Education Fair at Thaksin University, Songkhla, held on November 13–14, 2025, as part of its international education promotion strategy.
This visit reaffirmed the shared commitment between UAD and the Royal Thai Embassy to build an inclusive, collaborative, and globally oriented educational ecosystem, particularly in supporting the well-being and academic success of international students.
