UAD Promotes Indonesian Education at the Indonesian Education Fair Thailand 2025 and attracts 86 New Applicants
Songkhla, 16 November 2025 — Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) participated in the Indonesian Education Fair Thailand 2025, held on 13–14 November at Thaksin University, Songkhla. The education fair, initiated by the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia, served as a strategic platform for Indonesian universities to introduce study opportunities to Thai students. The event recorded more than 1,000 visitors over its two-day implementation.
UAD was represented by the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs (KKUI), led by Ulaya Ahdiani, S.S., M.Hum., along with two staff members and a UAD alumnus from Thailand. Throughout the event, UAD promoted various study programs, scholarships, academic facilities, and information related to international student life in Yogyakarta. The presence of an alumnus from Thailand provided firsthand insights into the study experience, offering an added attraction for prospective students.
The UAD booth received a high volume of visits from Thai students eager to learn more about UAD’s international programs and study prospects in Indonesia. Enthusiasm was also evident during UAD’s presentation session, which was attended by dozens of students who actively asked questions about admission pathways, curricula, and the adaptation process for international students on campus.
Over the two-day event, a total of 86 Thai students expressed interest and completed the initial registration to pursue their studies at UAD. This number reflects the growing interest of Thai youth in Indonesian education, particularly in UAD.
In addition to joining the education fair, UAD also visited two partner schools in Thailand, namely Rasmisart School and Songserm Sasana Vitaya School. The visits aimed to strengthen collaborative relationships, introduce study opportunities in Indonesia to students, and discuss potential cooperation in education and other international activities.
UAD’s reputation also drew attention from students after the university presented its institutional achievements over the past year. UAD ranked 25th nationally and 4th among private universities in the THE World University Rankings 2024, and 1st among PTMA institutions; placed among the top seven private universities in Indonesia in THE WUR 2025; achieved 2nd place among national private universities and 6th nationally for research quality in THE WUR 2026; secured the top position among PTMA institutions in the Scimago Institution Rankings 2025; and was listed as the best private university in the Yogyakarta region in the 2024 Webometrics ranking. These accomplishments further strengthened prospective students’ confidence in UAD’s academic quality.
