UAD International Students Win 2nd and 3rd Place in Indonesian Storytelling Competition
Yogyakarta, April 25, 2025 — Another proud achievement has been made by international students of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD)! Two international students, Yustin from China and Zainelabdin Gehad Mohammed Zainelabdin from Egypt, stole the spotlight in the “Dongengmu dalam Bahasaku” (Your Story in My Language) competition held at Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta.
Yustin, a student of Indonesian Literature, secured 2nd place, while Zainelabdin, a student of the Master’s Program in Vocational Education for Automotive Engineering (PVTO), brought home 3rd place.
The competition challenged participants to tell stories in Indonesian with creativity, expression, and heartfelt delivery. Both Yustin and Zainelabdin impressed the judges with their passionate storytelling, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
Their success not only highlights their exceptional Indonesian language skills but also strengthens UAD’s role in supporting cross-cultural competence development among international students.
