Visa Information
International students, researchers, visiting lecturers, exchange students, internship participants, short course participants, and other international visitors who plan to participate in academic or non-academic activities at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) are required to obtain the appropriate visa in accordance with the regulations of the Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia.
The type of visa required depends on the purpose, duration, and nature of the activities to be undertaken in Indonesia. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to ensure that they apply for the visa category that best matches their intended program or activity.
Through the Global Engagement Office (GEO), Universitas Ahmad Dahlan provides guidance and administrative assistance for international participants throughout the visa application process, including recommendations on the appropriate visa category, required supporting documents, and immigration procedures related to academic activities at UAD.

Ensure that the selected visa category matches the purpose of your visit and the program you will participate in at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.
- Visa fees, processing fees, duration of stay, and immigration regulations are subject to change in accordance with the latest policies issued by the Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Some visa categories are eligible for extension, subject to applicable Indonesian immigration regulations.
- International students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree programs generally require an E30B Student Visa.
- Participants of BIPA, Short Course, Summer Course, Academic Internship, Research, Student Exchange, and other international programs will use the visa category appropriate to their respective activities.
