UAD got a Visit from Universiti Malaya to Discuss the Academic Collaboration reinforcement
Yogyakarta, December 18, 2025 — Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), through its Office of Cooperation and International Affairs (KKUI), welcomed a delegation from Universiti Malaya at the Global Lounge, Campus I B UAD. The visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the academic partnership between the two universities.
During the meeting, the Universiti Malaya delegation presented information about their academic programs and study opportunities, with a particular focus on the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics. In addition to academic promotion, the discussion also centered on the evaluation and further development of the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program that has been implemented between UAD and Universiti Malaya as part of international student mobility collaboration.
Both institutions also explored opportunities to develop double degree programs, including the 3+1 scheme, which is expected to provide students with cross-country academic experience while enhancing graduates’ competitiveness at the global level.
The Universiti Malaya delegation attending the visit consisted of Tuty Haryati Kassim, Faculty Manager; Mohammad Husssein, Deputy Dean; as well as Marina bt. Ramlan and Nur Hanan bt. Hamdan, lecturers from the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at Universiti Malaya.
From UAD, the delegation was welcomed by the Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs, Ulaya Ahdiani, together with the Head of the International Cooperation Division, Afit Istiandaru. Representatives from the Indonesian Literature, English Literature, and Arabic Language and Literature Study Programs were also present, considering their academic relevance to the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at Universiti Malaya.
Through this visit, UAD and Universiti Malaya reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in education and academic development, particularly in expanding sustainable international programs that provide mutual benefits for both institutions.
