The Opening Ceremony for UAD’s International Students

Saturday, October 3th 2011 is an historical day for all of the International students in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan because in this day the Rector, Drs. Kasiyarno, M.Hum officially welcome and receive those students to be a part of UAD’s big family.

The sounds of gamelan which is billow gently welcome the honorable guest and also the audience open the ceremony. Mrs. Tri Amalia M. Pd, B.I  and Al Qurani Jamila as the staff of International Office open and lead the ceremony.

According to Mrs.Tri Amalia,every year  the number of International students who study in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan is always increase. This year, the total amount of overseas students are 73 students, 51 students comes from China, and the rest come from Japan, Korea, Polandia, Timor Leste, Thailand and Holland.

Most of them-45 students- will join with Darmasiswa Program which is scholarship program from Indonesian Government. 18 Chinese students will follow the double degree program that is a part of cooperation between Ahmad Dahlan University and Guangxi University for Nationalities, China. The rest of them will join with the regular major in UAD.
