Alumni Mengajar in Thailand (AMT)

Overview

Alumni Mengajar in Thailand (AMT) is an international teaching program organized by the Global Engagement Office, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), in collaboration with Islamic schools in Southern Thailand.

The program offers UAD alumni the opportunity to gain international teaching experience while contributing to the development of education in partner schools. Participants are selected from various academic disciplines based on the teaching positions and subject areas required by each partner institution.

Through this program, participants are expected to strengthen their professional competencies, enhance cross-cultural communication skills, and broaden their global perspectives through teaching in an international environment.


Program Objectives

The Alumni Mengajar in Thailand (AMT) Program aims to:

  • Provide UAD alumni with valuable international teaching experience.
  • Enhance participants’ professional, pedagogical, and intercultural competencies.
  • Support partner schools in Southern Thailand by providing qualified teachers in various academic disciplines.
  • Strengthen international collaboration between Universitas Ahmad Dahlan and educational institutions in Thailand.
  • Promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Indonesia and Thailand through education.

The Alumni Mengajar in Thailand Program is currently conducted in collaboration with the following partner schools in Southern Thailand:

  • Kalamullah Al-Qur’an and Multilingual School
  • Songserm Sasana Vitaya School
  • Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School

The list of partner institutions may expand as new international collaborations are established.


Recruitment

The Alumni Mengajar in Thailand Program does not follow a fixed annual recruitment schedule. Applications are opened based on teacher vacancies and staffing requests submitted by partner schools in Southern Thailand.

The number of available positions, required academic backgrounds, qualifications, and recruitment timeline vary for each recruitment period according to the needs of the partner institutions.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to regularly follow announcements from the Global Engagement Office, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, for the latest recruitment information.


General Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following general requirements:

  • Be a graduate (alumnus/alumna) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing to live and teach in Southern Thailand for the assigned period.
  • Meet the academic qualifications required by the partner school.
  • Fulfill any additional requirements announced during each recruitment period.

Specific qualifications and requirements may vary depending on the needs of each partner institution.
