BIPA or Bahasa Indonesia for Foreigners is a course program at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD). BIPA of UAD was established in 2011 by the request of foreign students who study at UAD. Since the establishment the request to study Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture at UAD increase, such as from Dutch, Thai, and German students who study regularly at some study programs in UAD. BIPA students are not always students who study at UAD. There are some people who come to UAD only to join BIPA to study Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture. Since 2011 there are 29 students from China, Thailand, German, Holland, Philippines and Iraq enrolling in this program.
