Orientation
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) is committed to helping international students successfully adapt to academic life, Indonesian culture, and daily life in Yogyakarta. To ensure a smooth transition, all international students participate in a series of orientation programs before beginning their studies.
These orientation programs are designed to introduce students to the university environment, academic system, Indonesian culture, and the various services available throughout their studies at UAD. In addition to receiving essential information, students will have the opportunity to meet new friends, connect with lecturers and staff, and begin building an international network from their very first days on campus.
At Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, international students participate in two orientation programs: the Campus Introduction Program (P2K) alongside all new UAD students, and the International Student Orientation, which is organized specifically for international students by the Global Engagement Office (GEO).
The Campus Introduction Program (P2K) is the official orientation program for all new students at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, including both Indonesian and international students.
Through this program, students will become familiar with various aspects of university life, including:
- The history, vision, mission, and values of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.
- The academic system and learning environment.
- Faculties, study programs, and academic support services.
- Student organizations and student clubs.
- Student development, leadership, and extracurricular activities.
- Campus regulations, ethics, and university life.
P2K also provides an excellent opportunity for new students to build friendships, develop a sense of belonging, and become part of the UAD community. The orientation usually concludes with a closing ceremony featuring entertainment and guest performers to celebrate the beginning of students’ university journey.
