Darmasiswa UAD 2023 is Calling for Applicants
/0 Comments/in Darmasiswa, Event, Scholarship /by adminDARMASISWA is a one-year non-degree scholarship program offered by the Indonesian government to all non-Indonesian citizens from countries with which Indonesia has diplomatic relations to study the Indonesian language, arts, music, crafts, and other specific subjects at 68 Indonesian Higher Education Institutions selected in various cities in Indonesia. This program is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The main objective of the DARMASISWA program is to increase and cultivate interest in the Indonesian language and Indonesian culture among citizens from other countries. It also
designed to increase mutual understanding and provide stronger cultural bonds between different nations.
I. PROCEDURE
Prospective students are required to register and submit all documents in
Darmasiswa RI official website apply.darmasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id . For students who are not in the student’s
home country are not allowed to be registered through the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General in the participating countries (non-citizenship).

III.COVERAGE
The monthly living allowance that will be received by students is IDR 2,600,000 (two million six hundred thousand Indonesian rupiah).
Living Allowance IDR 2.600.000 per month
Book Allowance IDR 2.000. 000 (one-off)
Settlement Allowance IDR 2.600.000 (one-off)
Students will be provided with accommodation and transportation during the orientation program if the time arrival is in time with the schedule from the MoECRT. Students are advised to bring extra money (better in USD) for their
personal unforeseen expenses in Indonesia.
IV.QUALIFICATIONS
1. Foreign nationals.
2. Completed secondary education or equivalent.
3. Minimum age18 years and Not older than27 years oage.
4. Able to communicate in English (Proven by the English Language Proficiency Certificate:
TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS or OTHER CERTIFICATE if applicable).
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Held an Offline IISMA Socialization

In this chance, UAD invited Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya (The Chair of the IISMA Program), and alumnus of IISMA 2021 and 2022.
Rusydi Umar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice Rector of Academic Affairs) officially opened this event. 117 participants from all study programs attended this event. They eagerly raised questions related to the application and selection processes.

What the iBuddies Program is.
The International Buddies (iBuddies) program is created to support international students of UAD to get around during their studies at UAD. Since 2007, the number of International students at UAD continuously increases. Through this program, local students can help international students to get to know more about Indonesia, especially Yogyakarta. Imagine yourself coming to a new environment, do not know anything, and having no one to help. Of course, you will need someone to take your hand and help you to stay alive. Due to these reasons, local students are expected to help international to get along. At the same time, they also can make friends and enlarge their circles. Through this program, both local and international students could share actual information, culture, technology, and so forth. Moreover, you can enlarge your international experiences and knowledge; deeply get information about studying abroad, scholarships, etc.
Qualifications:
- Active undergraduate students of UAD
- Have a good Knowledge of UAD, Yogyakarta, and Indonesia
- Speak good English. Being able to speak other languages is a plus point
- Creative, service-oriented, open-minded
- Being familiar with graphic design and video editing is a plus point
- Min 4 semester (April 2024), max 7 semester

The European Union of Erasmus+ BUiLD Team Visited Ahmad Dahlan Disaster Management Center UAD
/0 Comments/in Event, News /by adminMonday 22nd August 2022, located at Ahmad Dahlan Disaster Management Center of Faculty of Medicine Campus 4, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan welcomed three delegations from Erasmus+ Building Universities in Leading Disaster Resilience (BUiLD). Nadine Sulkowski (Coordinator of BUiLD Project from University of Gloucestershire, UK), Prof. Neil Towers (University of Gloucestershire, UK), and Paul Schober (Hafelakar Austria). This visit aims to monitor and evaluate the progress of the BUiLD project at UAD and other granted institutions in Indonesia.
The BUiLD project is the second of four Erasmus+ projects granted to UAD since 2017. This project was initiated and coordinated by International Office Affairs coordinated with study programs, institutions, and faculties. This grant aims to build the university’s capacity in disaster management and become a disaster-resilient campus.
The benefit of this program is the Center of Excellence in Disaster Resilience with complete instruments including Virtual Reality to support disaster education at UAD. At UAD this center is named Ahmad Dahlan Disaster Management Center (ADMC). ADMC is the core of managing and developing all activities related to disasters such as mitigation, response, post-disaster intervention, and so forth in the field of education, research, and community service. Furthermore, it strengthens collaboration between UAD with stakeholders such as MDMC, Lazismu, BNPB, BDBP, etc.

UAD is very grateful that for five years in a row continuously gain international trust with the passing of four Erasmus+ grant proposals including the BUiLD disaster management project. There are many benefits obtained by UAD with this BUiLD grant, and one of them is the potential international cooperation and national cooperation related to disasters and other relevant fields that can continue to strengthen the capacity of the Ahmad Dahlan Disaster Management Center in the future.
Ahmad Dahlan Global Engagement of UAD Conducted An Online Scholarship Sharing Session

/0 Comments/in International Office Activities, News /by adminIndustrial Engineering and Informatics Engineering Programs of Faculty of Industrial Technology of UAD and Faculty of Engineering – Industrial Engineering dan Computer Engineering Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P) conducted the Southeast Asia Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SEA-TVET) entitled Virtual Student Exchange Program of SEAMEO-SEATVET. This program was conducted for two weeks from the 30th of May to the 10th of June. Two activities were held in this program, those are Short Course dan Virtual Cultural Day.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is one of the seven priority areas for educational development in Southeast Asia from 2015 to 2035. This was officially recognized by the Southeast Asian ministers of education at the Strategic Dialogue of Education Ministers (SDEM) meeting held in Lao PDR in September 2014. The “SEA-TVET Consortium” was one of the recommended strategies from the TVET High Officials from the Southeast Asian countries to promote TVET student and staff exchange.
The participants of this program included 8 lecturers of UAD, 12 students of UAD, an Industrial Practitioner (PT Mega Andalan Kalasan), a participant from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, 9 lecturers of TIP, and 14 students of TIP. The students did not only learn their major courses but also local language and culture. This program is the second SEA-TVET program gathered by UAD. The first program was held with Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University.
The virtual closing ceremony was conducted on the 13th of June 2022 through a zoom meeting. Rusydi Umar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice-rector of Academic Affairs of UAD and Marianne Yumul (EE Program Chair at TIP Manila) officially closed this program. In his speech, Rusydi Umar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. delivered his eagerness for this program. He hopes that this program will be an annual program and strengthen the cooperation between UAD and TIP.

(Head of International Cooperation Affairs), Lecturers of Industrial Engineering, Informatics Engineering, and Staff of TIP and UAD attended the closing ceremony.

International Office Affairs Association of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Higher Education Hold A Yearly Meeting

This meeting was officially opened by Dr. dr. Sukadiono, M.M. (Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya), and Prof. Dr. H. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec.
Firman Hidayat, S.S., M.Si. (Representative of Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia) presented strengthening international cooperation and reporting ongoing cooperation. Dr. Muslich Hartadi Hartanto from Universiti Technology PETRONAS Malaysia presented the Implementation International Cooperation. It was followed by presentation on Indonesian International Students Mobility Awards (IISMA) delivered by Yordan Gunawan, SH., MBA., MH. (Head of International Relations Office (IRO) UMY.
On first day’s evening of international Office Affairs Association of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Higher Education yearly meeting, the forum decided Yordan Gunawan, SH., MBA., MH. is going to lead the national forum until 2023. He also was chosen as the leader of international Office Affairs Association of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Higher Education 2019/2021.
Opening the second day ,Putri Nailatul Himma, and AA Sodikin presented and discussed Study Permit for International Student.
It was followed by presentation on International Credit Transfer (ICT) program delivered by Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. (Head of International Office Affairs of UAD).
Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, Ph.D. officially closed this program. Following the closing ceremony, Ida Puspita, M.A.Res. delivered information on International Webinar Scheduled by DAAD.

2nd November 2021, The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a workshop on the Recognition of Credits Program of International Students Mobility Awards (IISMA).
This event is attended by four hundred lecturers and international office coordination of universities and higher education. Four keynote speakers were invited to present the IISMA program at their universities.
Officially opening this event, Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P. (the representative of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia) delivered an opening remark. It was followed by presentations delivered by Prof. Fathul Wahid, S.T.M. Sc., Ph.D. (Rector of Universitas Islam Indonesia), Rusydi Umar, Ph.D. (Vice-rector of Academic Affairs of UAD), Dr. Rangga Almahendra, S.T. M.M. (the representative of UGM), and Diah Wihardini, B.Sc, (Hons)., M.Ed., Ph.D. (Universitas Bina Nusantara Global Director).
Due to the increasing number of IISMA awardees, the enthusiasm of each university sharply increases. It can be shown that all of the participants actively delivered respond and questions.
